Question 3
The Correct Answer Is: TRUE
Romans 10:14-17: "14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!" 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."
In previous lessons, we have explored the fact that there are many religions in this world that falsely claim that the road to eternal life is by a way apart from Jesus. The Bible teaches us that this claim is not correct. From reading through the Bible, we can know that this book alone is the inspired word of God, and in its pages, we learn that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. Therefore in order to be saved by Jesus, we must first hear, or learn about Jesus. We must read the scriptures, and understand what it says. We must listen to people (preachers) who truly obey Christ, and follow their teachings as those teaching conform to the Bible. Only when we learn about Jesus, will we develop the faith needed to obey Him.
